Andressa Urach

Andressa Urach was fifteen years old, began meeting Tiago Costa at the age of 15 and began dating Tiago. After three months of romance, the couple moved into his house. Arthur Urach Costa, born on May 19, 2005 was the only child of the couple. Six years later separation, the couple divorced due to marital issues. Andressa Urach then went to stay with her son at her mother's home. After six months, Urach was fired and had to leave her child in the custody of her father. Her primary goal was to find a better life for her son within Sao Paulo. Andressa Urach writes in her memoir Morri Para Viver about her sexual abuse from her foster father, that occurred between the ages of 2 and 8. Andressa Urach could only get free of the abuse after her foster grandmother caught her doing it. Andressa then returned home with her mother who did not realize she was abused up until Andressa wrote her book. The woman's interviews confirmed that it was difficult for her prior to her change of heart. To forgive her abuser was something she thought was impossible. It was one of my most difficult choices I've had to make. I made contact with the man who physically assaulted me. This wasn't a simple thing to take on. Although I was not guilty, I asked for his forgiveness on the phone after many prayer vows. My only action was to ask forgiveness. Mariste Urach discusses in an interview with Globo, how she felt after learning of the abuse that her daughter suffered. Urach went to the city in Rio Grande do Sul where the perpetrator lived in order to take justice.
